[ DEFEND THE ICE WATER RESTORATION PROJECT ]

Green Youth Sports Alliance partners with Bonneville Environmental Foundation to launch Defend the Ice Water Restoration Project. Our goal is to balance water used to play the sport by uniting the entire hockey community from PeeWee-to-Pro with a collective effort to restore 10 Million gallons of freshwater to critically depleted ecosystems across North America.

From now until Earth Day, April 22, 2018, please join us in our efforts by texting “ICE” to 474747 .

For every personal text you send, Change the Course will return 1,000 gallons to an ecosystem

in need. Spread the word and let’s help Defend the Ice together!

Hockey roots can be traced to frozen lakes and ponds of cold climates in North America and Europe. Major environmental challenges, such as climate change and freshwater scarcity place a risk for hockey players of all ages to play the game. Defend the Ice raises awareness of water scarcity and engages fans in conversation.
